Digital Electromagnetic Flowmeter

Pitambara Engineering’ Digital Electromagnetic Flowmeter is a highly advanced and accurate device used for measuring the flow of conductive liquids, primarily water. It operates on the principle of Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction, which states that when a conductive fluid passes through a magnetic field, a voltage is generated that is proportional to the flow velocity of the fluid.
Key Features of Pitambara Engineering Digital Electromagnetic Flowmeter:
- Digital Display: The digital electromagnetic flowmeter comes with a clear and user-friendly digital display that shows real-time flow data. This feature makes it easy to read and monitor flow measurements, even in remote or industrial environments.
- High Accuracy: These flow meters are designed to offer excellent accuracy and repeatability, ensuring reliable flow measurement. This is crucial for applications where precise control over fluid flow is needed.
- Non-Intrusive Measurement: Unlike traditional mechanical flow meters, electromagnetic flow meters do not have any moving parts in the flow stream. This eliminates issues like wear and tear and reduces the maintenance requirements, making them ideal for long-term use.
- Versatility: Digital electromagnetic flow meters from Pitambara Instruments can be used for various types of conductive liquids, such as water, sewage, and certain chemicals. They are commonly used in industries like water treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals.
- High Flow Range: These flow meters are capable of measuring a wide range of flow rates, from very low to high flow rates, making them suitable for a variety of industrial applications.
- Robust Construction: The meters are built to withstand challenging environments, with durable materials used in the construction. They are designed to function effectively in both indoor and outdoor settings, even in corrosive or high-pressure conditions.
- No Moving Parts: Since the flow meter works on the principle of electromagnetic induction, there are no moving parts inside the device, which means less mechanical wear and a lower risk of failure.
- Easy Installation and Calibration: The digital electromagnetic flowmeter is designed for straightforward installation in pipelines. The calibration process is also relatively simple and can be done through digital configuration.
- Output and Communication: Pitambara Engineering’ digital flowmeter provides various output options such as analog (4-20 mA) and digital (RS485, Modbus) signals for easy integration with SCADA systems or control systems. This ensures seamless communication between the flow meter and other devices for data logging, monitoring, and process control.
- Self-Diagnostics: Some models come with self-diagnostic capabilities, which alert operators to any potential issues such as signal loss, incorrect installation, or electrical malfunctions.
Applications:
Pitambara Engineering’ Digital Electromagnetic Flowmeter is commonly used in:
- Water Treatment Plants: To measure and monitor water intake, treatment, and distribution.
- Industrial Applications: In industries where accurate measurement of water or other conductive fluids is critical for process control.
- Wastewater Treatment: To monitor the flow of wastewater and sewage in treatment plants.
- Chemical Processing: For measuring conductive chemicals in pipelines and tanks.
- Irrigation Systems: To control the flow of water used in agriculture.
Advantages:
- Durability: Minimal wear due to the lack of moving parts.
- Low Maintenance: Reduced maintenance needs compared to traditional mechanical flow meters.
- Accuracy and Stability: Consistent and precise readings over time.
- Cost-Effective: Long-term reliability and reduced downtime make it a cost-effective solution for industries.
Conclusion:
Pitambara Engineering’ Digital Electromagnetic Flowmeter is an ideal solution for industries that require accurate, reliable, and maintenance-free flow measurement for conductive liquids. Its advanced features, combined with digital display and communication options, make it a valuable tool for ensuring efficient and smooth operation of fluid systems across various applications.
- During installation, tank shuld be completely empty.
- There should be no objects which shall hinder the float.
- Ensure that the float position inside the tank should be such that agitation on it will be minimum.
- The position of mounting nozzle should be far away from the liquid fill pipe to protect the float from damage and faulty readings due to turbulence.
- Ensure that tank structures / fittings do not come in the way of calibrated gauges boards
- Instruments required- Welding machine, combination/crimping plier, spanner and adjustable.
- Even with large changes in liquid density, the immersion of a large diameter float will change very little, thus density has little effect on accuracy.
- Float systems are simple and easily understood.
- Even if the primary requirement is the transmitted signal, local indicators can continue to operate, even on loss of power.
